National Poetry Month: Drop In and Write
Facilitated by Elizabeth Bradfield
at The Commons in Meeting Room D
Saturdays, April 18
1:00–3:00 PM
SHIFT YOUR WRITING. SHAPE YOUR COMMUNITY.
Celebrate National Poetry Month by joining us for an afternoon of writing in community. If you’ve been wanting to refresh your writing practice or simply spend time creating alongside others, come to The Commons for this drop-in session facilitated by poet Elizabeth Bradfield.
We’ll begin by saying hello, setting intentions, and writing together in timed sessions, with short breaks for conversation and stretching. A bowl of prompts will be available for anyone who wants inspiration. In the final part of the gathering, participants are invited to share new work or ideas, though sharing is entirely optional.
Writing in the presence of others can open new possibilities, even without focusing on output or finished work. Come as you are, and let’s spend a couple of hours simply being writers together.
