6 PM — Opening Reception
The Provincetown Collagists present Missing Time, curated by artist Karen Cappotto, featuring over 50 collagists, alumni and new.
A collective excavation of what slips through the cracks—memory, history, perception—tracing the enduring influence of artist Budd Hopkins and the concept of “missing time.”
7PM — LOST: The National Garden of American Zeros (Artists launch)
A collaboration between Jay Critchley and Jim Youngerman.
An elegy in living form—honoring extinct North American animals and insects in response to the proposed “garden of heroes.” A counter-monument. A quiet reckoning.
7:30PM — After Dark
Portal reveal — a public storytelling infrastructure by artist Joey Mars, inviting messages, memory, and signal into the field.
May Day ignition.
The Commons shifts—from exhibition to field, from audience to participant.
Dorchester Brewing Company will host a tasting on the front lawn throughout the evening.
