I am a figurative expressionist painter. My use of expressive black-and-white paintings explore emotion, connection, and the shared human experience. Inspired by Provincetown’s vibrant community, my recent portraits capture the humor, tenderness, and vulnerability of everyday life, inviting viewers to recognize themselves within her subject. My art is inspired by people—their emotions, their stories, and their shared humanity. Much of my recent work explores black-and-white portraits of men set against the Provincetown backdrop. By stripping away color, I distill each subject to their emotional essence, inviting viewers to connect directly with their inner world.
Artist Bio
I am a figurative expressionist painter living and working in Provincetown, Massachusetts. My earliest artistic memories are rooted here, where my grandmother—an artist herself—brought me to her Provincetown and Wellfleet gallery exhibitions. Those early experiences instilled in me a lifelong sense of belonging to this creative community. I earned my B.A. in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I developed a foundation in visual storytelling that continues to inform my work today.
