Two years ago, I took a class on Cyanotype printing with Tyrus Clutter at the Appleton Museum of Art and became obsessed with the technique, images and results. Since then, I have been experimenting with different types of materials - bleach, coffee, color, encaustic and the entire process. Additional teachings of John Clayton, (Oils) Kathleen Warren, (Cyanotype & Encaustic), Sue Primeau, (Watercolor), Linda Blondheim, (Acrylic) and Charles Eady (Silkscreen) have been instrumental to my craft. Hoping my work brings happiness and an abundance of color to art enthusiasts.

Mr. Schleicher was born and raised in Cheshire CT. He continued his education in Florida at Saint Leo University and received his BA and MBA. After a career in healthcare marketing and one in real estate, Rich switched to a life of creativity and joy in the world of art. He has taken several years of painting classes of landscapes in Provincetown as well as his home town of Ocala, Florida. Painting in the impressionistic style is his goal to be mastered. Expanding his love for color, Rich has taken classes in various forms of printmaking, watercolor painting, encaustic, sculpture, and assemblage. Mr. Schleicher plans to expand his knowledge and skills in creating various types of art. This years show at the Commons will be Rich’s fifth art show including a solo show this past November.
