About the Workshop
This one-session, hands-on class invites five participants to explore printmaking in the natural beauty of the Provincelands. Using versatile gel polymer printing plates, acrylic paints, and found materials, participants will create unique monotype prints without a traditional press, in the plein air tradition.

The session begins with a two-hour gel plate printmaking demonstration at The Commons. After a lunch break on your own, the group will reconvene at the National Park Service Visitor Center near Race Point Beach to continue printing using collected materials.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of gel plate printing, including plate care, layering color, and building texture to create both primary and ghost prints.

This class is ideal for anyone interested in an accessible art form and deepening their connection to making art within the surrounding landscape.
