WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Join Royce Soble for a joyful, hands-on collage workshop exploring self-portraiture through photography and mixed media. Participants will begin by taking and printing a photo (or photos) of themselves, then incorporating those images into a larger collage composition. Those who prefer may instead create a portrait of a woman they admire.
*Please bring personal collage materials such as magazines or clippings. All other materials will be provided.
Royce’s practice blends photography, drawing, and painting to explore the balance between external observation and internal reflection. Participants will be encouraged to incorporate storytelling elements into their work, using collage as a way to express personal themes and perspectives.
